Helping Mum

Phil continues in the pattern of traveling to Brighton one week in each month to help in caring for his mother.   She continues to be well in many ways, but is becoming more frail and and forgetful as time passes.

The family is in the process of looking for suitable residential care for her in the Nuneaton area.

Phil and Jonathan Go To Togo

A great opportunity came for Phil to teach on the School of Biblical Studies which has re-launched in Togo, West Africa.   We met the school leader, Joseph, while he was completing his University of the Nations degree in Kona a few years ago.  Already an experienced SBS leader, he was preparing to develop the training campus near Lome, Togo.

Phil was pleased to support Joseph by teaching the book of Exodus and speak in local churches.  These trips always include more than the formal teaching times, as meeting with staff and students and local workers can have a great impact.

Half-term holidays freed Jonathan to accompany his dad on this one-week adventure.   It was a great boy time together for them, which included 4 out of 4 delayed flights.
